Adult Fitness Programs
The Hilliker YMCA offers a complete curriculum of classes and special events announced each term through a group exercise schedule.
All adult fitness classes are drop-in style to help you add variety and convenience to your work out. Instructors demonstrate both high and low impact variations throughout class to help accommodate all fitness levels.
This 45-minute combination class consists of intervals of cardio on the floor or step, with shorter strength segments. Follow the leader and challenge yourself to push your potential.
Energizing and fun workout that uses a mix of the latest dance styles and the hottest new sounds.
Cardio Strength & Tone
Bursts of cardio to burn calories combined with strength and toning exercises to build muscle and add definition.
Challenger 1,2, and 3
Total body fitness, three ways, three days, three levels. Challenger 1 begins with muscle conditioning featuring Kettle bells and ending in cardio drills that will totally sculpt the body. Challenger 2 begins with self paced cardio and incorporates High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.T.) to really burn the fat long after the workout is over. Challenger 3 features running but will accommodate walkers or runners in a variety of courses and methods. Three levels means beginners, intermediate, and advanced will all be challenged.
A Step class fused with all of your other favorite fitness formats: Hi/low, interval, strength training, and Pilates. All choreography done with and on the step can be done on the floor, making this a great class for all fitness levels. Drop the kids off at school and come on in!
Races, speed drills, intervals, Tabata intervals, inverted intervals, mountains to climb, jumps, fast flats, and steady rides are all part of the fun. Each instructor brings their own style to indoor cycling and that's where the fun and challenge allows participants to burn lots of calories while increasing their fitness level.
75 minute high energy dynamic maximum fat burning workout combines Body Blast and Indoor Cycling with weights, bars, balls and tubes.
Active adults can sit or stand in a workout to enhance cardio strength, balance, and coordination.
Silver Sneakers Cardio Circuit
Increases cardiovasuclar and muscular endurance with a standing or seated workout.
Silver Sneakers MSROM (Muscular Strength and Range of Motion)
Strength workout designed for ages 65 and oder (anyone can attend). Exercises may be done sitting in a chair or standing. Class incorporates balls, bands, and weights.
Lo-impact cardio moves combined with circuit training to keep you lean and mean!

Pilates techniques combined with gentle moves to increase flexibility and core strength.
A great way to start the day! Wake your mind, body, and spirit. Learn the basic Yoga postures, principles, tradition, breath, strength and alignment.
An addictive mix of Latin and international music and put the emphasis on having fun as much as breaking a sweat. Don’t worry you will be sweating before you know it. Learn to move with attitude and feel the music pulse through your entire body.
