Programs & Activities
The Hilliker YMCA offers a complete curriculum of classes and special events that will be announced each season.
YMCA programs are tools for building the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. The Hilliker YMCA offers health, fitness and aquatics classes as well as other well-being programs.
Such programs include swimming, aerobics, yoga, programs for seniors and programs for people with disabilities and other health ailments. In addition we offer programs in response to community needs including child care, teen programs, youth sports, family nights, and many more.
Our aquatics class offerings range from 6 months of age, all the way up to adults. Swimmers are divided into ability groups and trained instructors emphasize personal safety, swimming skills, endurance and social skills while guiding students with praise and encouragement.
Before the pools open make sure your child knows how to swim! Sign up your child today for our swim lessons beginning in May. Classes will begin May 1 and end May 31, just in time for your child to swim all summer and show off their new skills. Registration for May lessons ends May 4.
HEALTH, WELL-BEING & FITNESS
Healthy lifestyles are achieved through nurturing mind, body and spirit, therefore our fitness programs offer much more than just working out. We offer a wide variety of classes to address these needs.
At the Y, we offer a sense of community, fellowship and support that enriches people's lives. Our seniors take senior trips and plan activities such as chili cook-offs, while our youth have dances and other activities. For all age groups we focus on enhancing spiritual knowledge as well through activities such as bible studies and other programming opportunities.
We provide resources our community needs so that we can address issues such as child welfare, education, and quality of life.
